2024 Volunteer of the Year! Jequita H. Napoli is an Active Ret. Special Judge in Cleveland County. Since retirement she been engaged in volunteer activities including regular volunteer mediation beginning in August 2022 with the Early Settlement-Central Program.

Our mission is to provide FREE, expeditious, and effective conflict resolution services to Cleveland and McClain counties in Central Oklahoma. Early Settlement Mediation utilizes community volunteers who are trained and certified through the program. Our mediators strive to help people participate in settling their own conflicts to create a more peaceful community to live and work.

Civil Mediation Training

Basic Civil Mediation Training – The Early Settlement – Central and City of Norman Programs hosted a civil mediation training recently at the City of Norman training center. Tylnn Childress, Director, of the Central program and Ronda Guerrero, Municipal Court Clerk, and sponsor of the Norman program served as the training hosts.

OU Law Recruitment Fair

OU Law Recruitment! Tylnn Childress, Program Director, represented the Early Settlement – Central Program at the recent OU Law Job Fair. Law students can apply to be mediation externs, gaining invaluable mediation experience.

Civic Club Presentation

Purcell Rotary Club! Tylnn Childress, Program Director, Early Settlement Mediation – Central Program spoke to the Purcell Rotary Club recently. He shared about the work Early Settlement does to help individuals reach settlement agreements before going to court. The program services are offered FREE of charge!
